CAMECA TO SHOWCASE THE EIKOS™ ATOM PROBE AT M&M 2017 EXHIBITION
Live, On-Floor Demonstrations Will Analyze Customer Materials at the Atomic Level

MADISON, WI – CAMECA Instruments, Inc., the world leader in elemental and isotopic microanalysis, will have its newest atom probe instrument, the EIKOS™, operating on the show floor at Microscopy & Microanalysis Exhibition, August 7-10, 2017, in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this, an industry first, CAMECA will demonstrate EIKOS’ efficiency and reliability for routine 3-D nano analysis for both research and industry at Booth 324 at M&M, the largest scientific meeting in the world devoted to microscopy and microanalysis.

EIKOS provides ready access to atom probe tomography through a low cost of ownership and ease of use. Utilizing standard microscopy sample preparation methods, it delivers nanoscale structural information, enabling faster development of alloys for industrial use, and a deep understanding of materials for research applications.

The EIKOS addresses a wide range of applications that have been demonstrated for atom probe technology over the past 30 years. The base EIKOS model with voltage pulsing offers a world-class solution for metallurgical analysis. The full EIKOS configuration with laser pulsing mode expands the applications space into semiconductors, thin films, and coatings.

In another industry first, CAMECA will offer a virtual reality tour of EIKOS 3-D analyses. In this exhibit, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the 3-D nanoscale microstructural environment generated by EIKOS just moments earlier.
